« Using Internet Explorer on High Resoluti... | Main | Reflector and Big Fonts »

Had a lovely (and easiest yet) upgrade to dasBlog 1.6, thank Omar.  I used the Upgrade Zip file that is up on GotDotNet.

Not only is this version faster it also added an Archive feature.  Look in the left bar under Navigation, there's a 'Archives' section with Monthly Archives for all my content.  Don't forget the Search box also!

Note: The upgrade zip is missing the FreeTextBox CodeHighlightDefinitions.xml so I stole it from Omar directly.

Scott... can you share any additional info about this CodeHighlightsDefnitions thing? I took a look in the FreeTextBox docs and didn't see anything. I'd like to integrate code highlighting into .TEXT.

The code highlighting is provided by a 3rd party component (not FreeTextBox itself). See this post by Scott (the .Text developer) for details on how to integrate it into .Text:

Oh, nice catch. I'll need to fix that one.

The perf work was done by Erv and he did a great job. Instead of deserializing unecessarily a million times we use the asp.net cache feature.
