I won't belabor the point with any major prose on the Matrix Trilogy.  It's all been said, but I will say this, since the Matrix movies are the first real successful foray of cyberpunk into mainsream media.

This movie, Revolutions, was not exactly the "Temple of Doom" that Reloaded was, but it was certainly "The Last Crusade" - a competent film that will never stack up against the first.

Quite possibly these last two movies have undone all the good that the first one did.  Therefore, I choose to deny the existance of these two.  Rather than make "Citizen Kane: Reloaded" or "Casablanca: Revolutions," I insist that they made only the Matrix.  Number 1.  Full stop.

Hm. I do care what you thought, just...I cna't agree with you. I agree there were some unnecessary things they put in the movies, and some stuff was a little overplayed (bullet time?), but I'm still gonna say I loved the three as a whole.

What's funny is, if reviewers even said anything bad about Reloaded before it was released, people didn't listen, because I sat in a line four hours before the first showing. So, what, people were more willing to heed the warnings of the critics this time? Or is there a critics Kool-aide? That's my guess, cause I didn't drink any and loved both Reloaded and Revolutions (and it's definitely better as a whole).

Of course, maybe you shouldn't listen to me, because I liked Reign of Fire, thought Last Crusade was best of the three, didn't like A Mighty Wind, and would rather listen to George Bush being a cool normal kinda guy than hear much of anything Michael Moore has to say (based on one of his "movies" about Nike or something).

I agree with you. There was only one Matrix movie. The other 2 movies (which was really one loooooong movie) don't exist.

The Matrix was a movie on so many levels and well, the bruthers shoulda left it like that - that was zen...

anyhow, can't for a movie of Snow Crash - they (whoever they are) should be able to pull it off.

do you think that the bruthers (Wachowski that is) could pull of Snow Crash?
