I have a "whenever I get around to doing it" Newsletter of Wonderful Things. Why a newsletter? I dunno. It seems more personal somehow. Fight me.

You can view all the previous newsletters here. You can sign up here to the Newsletter of Wonderful Things or just wait and get them some weeks later on the blog, which hopefully you have subscribed to. If you're signed up via email, you'll get all the goodness FIRST. I also encourage you to subscribe to my blog. You can also have all my blog posts delivered via email if you like.

Here's the last Newsletter from  October.

Hi Interfriends,

Thanks again for signing up for this experiment. Here's some interesting things I've come upon this week. If you forwarded this (or if it was forwarded to you) a reminder: You can sign up at http://hanselman.com/newsletter and the archive of all previous Newsletters is here.

Remember, you get the newsletter here first. This one will be posted to the blog as an archive in a few weeks.

"Lightsaber Thumb Wrestling" link is broken.

Also some of the titles are misleading: The proposal didn't have much to do with her pinterest. It was just some stuff hotel room. The LEGO calendar doesn't sync with Google, it's the other way around, and it's kind of manual. The "internals of how a GIF work" is for GIT, not GIF.

I understand that you need "interesting" titles for the links, but I was just disappointed by like half of the links because the title over-hyped the content. Just a suggestion to tone it down.

Either way, thanks, Scott.

Hey! I signed up for the good old fashioned newsletter and never got the email.

I know, just sign up again... But this is horse poop, Scott... You're lucky I like you. Very lucky.

@PeteK horse poop!? ...maybe Scott's just been too busy doing podcasts, and blogging, and traveling to also be traversing the tubes for gold to fill a free 20 item link list. I still appreciate it (even if I was super psyched to learn how GIFs work :) )

Miless off-topic, but it's this or a tweet (but couldn't get this under 140 char)

@Scott - After searching for a newsletter app, I stumbled upon Sendy through your great newsletter. I thought I'd give http://sendy.hanselman.com a go, but got only a login box. Then tried a Google search for +site:sendy.hanselman.com and stumbled upon an ugly 'feature'. Google apparently cached (how did they get these in the first place) some GUID's for allowing people to unsubscribe. After clicking one (I'm way too curious for the interwebs) I received a link to re-subscribe, and guess what? 8# I apparently resubscribed someone to your newsletter. If that person gets mad at you for sending him/her your newsletter after he/she unsubscribed, blame me.

My apologies for being too curious for everyones good.

Personally I'm a big fan of Regex Renamer http://regexrenamer.sourceforge.net/, I've used it for a few years. It fits well into the .NET developer's toolbox.
