BUG: Fixing One-Letter Titles in the Title Bar in IE

Weird bug...suddenly IE shows the first letter of the title bar. Like if the title bar should be "MSDN" it'll say "M" - the "SDN" would be clipped.

Fix? Uninstall (and reinstall, if you like) the Google Toolbar. Obscure.

Was that something related to the new security patches in IE, or is that an old obscure bug that just happened to manifest itself?

Happened on my WinXP also, at couple month ago. should be Google Toolbar's bug since my trace (http://rextang.net/blogs/work/archive/2006/02/15/3463.aspx) showed that something wrong with it. after uninstall and reinstall GoogleToolbar IE just back to normal.

Happened to me new machine. However, I am not sure what fixed it because I dont remember reinstalling the google toolbar. Was it one of the Windows updates that fixed it? Well, not sure.... Actually did not get time to investigate why it was showing just one letter in the first place!

happened to mine too, just after a new hd and a fresh install. i got a bit worried as the other hd got so screwed up that i can't even reformat it, but if it's just the damn toolbar i feel a bit of releaf though :)

although, i got loads of windows/office updates at the same time, so i can't say for sure what could have done it. anyway, uninstalling google toolbar now...
