Do also remember the complete archives are always up and they have PDF Transcripts, a little known feature that show up a few weeks after each show.

Telerik is our sponsor for this show.

Check out their UI Suite of controls for ASP.NET. It's very hardcore stuff. One of the things I appreciate aboutTelerik is their commitment tocompleteness. For example, they have a page about their Right-to-Left support while some vendors have zero support, or don't bother testing. They also are committed to XHTML compliance and publish their roadmap. It's nice when your controls vendor is very transparent.

As I've said before this show comes to you with the audio expertise and stewardship of Carl Franklin. The name comes from Travis Illig, but the goal of the show is simple. Avoid wasting the listener's time. (and make the commute less boring)

Enjoy. Who knows what'll happen in the next show?

that's clever. I love to see new ways to get people (especially young students) into programming.

What interests me the most is that unlike many beginner books, this book is based on python.

If we use the code "hanselm100", could we get the book for free?

If you want to see Warren and Carter in a TV interview, there's a link on the book website to http://watch.ctv.ca/news/clip186877.

Scott--

Title of blog post says "Programmer" when you meant "Programming". Stemming fail.

Thanks, Troy

Probably the only reason right now I would want kids is to teach them programming! haha

In the car my 8 year old daughter overheard this podcast and HAD to have the book. We've had two good sit-down sessions with it and she LOVES it. Really glad these guys got it published!

I was also pleased by the use of Python. A great choice for a kids book!
