Good luck - there will be days when you wan to tear your hear out, but I'll bet your parents wanted to on more than one occasion...

Really a very cute child. Since he has a bigger brother he will really learn quickly.

Wow. I have an 11YO, and a 4 month old. I forgot how quickly they get mobile. Guess I've got this to look forward to in about 6 months. She's already halfway sitting up. Better start toddler proofing now... ;)

I like the hair! My little one chases me all over the apartment now. And the buggy is on the verge of being retired to the storage room. He's so confident in his ability to cover long distances (city blocks really, but to toddlers I'm sure it looks like an expedition) that he refuses to get climb aboard.

BTW, how did you potty train the older one? Our son is getting that age and we aren't sure how to do this part.

Now the real fun begins! Our son began walking about the same age, what a complete joy!

Man he has grown! 2 of them > 2 of you... It is a wonderful time, enjoy everyday. Each one of my three girls (11yo, 9yo & 7yo) did things progressively faster than their sisters.

It is always a big deal when a little one starts to walk. Between the first couple kids (5 year gap) we forgot how much stuff little ones can get into just by reaching 2' off the floor.

As for keeping pace with their older brothers mine are all different. #2 and #3 (both boys) were all about getting out and chasing their brother, and they were walking by the time they were 1. #4 wanted nothing to do with that. He rather have stuff brought to him, and showed no desire to even crawl. Eventually he started scooting at age 1, and then walking around 2 years old.


#5 (our 7 month old) is already crawling, and is expressing interest in pulling up on the funiture. We expect him to walk by his birthday.

BTW. Once they start climbing the steps there is no going back. I am always nervious with the boys on the steps, until they are about 4. Then I don't have to worry so much about them falling down the steps, as keeping them from jumping down the steps.

How cute he is! I can't believe how fast they grow!

I'm starting to get a little scared, seeing these pictures and remembering that time with our first son.
Our second son will be born very soon, and I'm sooooo looking forward to that sudden mobility as he tries to keep up with his older brother.

Heck, he started walking at 11 months, I certainly hope the baby doesn't go even earlier than that. I'll go grey!

Also I always saw you as a Computer Geek, so its very touching when I see you as a good father also. He looks like you only searching for some place to sit and code.

I too have 16 months old daughter who walks and started picking small words now, she just wait and watch me when I do some work in my computer, as soon as I leave my chair, she grabs my chair and starts scrolling the mouse to see the screen scrolling. And after some time, I find my mouse missing and added to her toy basket.
